Dr. Seely received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. He went on to complete his residency in anesthesiology and a fellowship in interventional pain medicine, both at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. After his fellowship, he served as an assistant professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Dr. Seely takes a multimodal and balanced approach to treating patients. He utilizes prescription therapies, medications, and minimally invasive procedures to help with patients’ recovery and pain management. Dr. Seely also treats fractures of the spine using percutaneous approaches such as kyphoplasty and vertebroplasty.

Dr. Seely primarily treats patients with injection procedures aided by fluoroscopy, such as intermittent X-rays and ultrasound, to deliver medications to the pain source without affecting the rest of the body. Dr. Seely also has a special interest in the use of neuromodulation (spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation) to help patients who have failed multiple treatments modalities, often including surgery.

Dr. Seely holds multiple professional memberships, including the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience, Spine Intervention Society, North American Neuromodulation Society, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the Society of Pain Medicine Practice Management. He is also certified in Basic Life Support.

When Dr. Seely is not treating patients, he is devoted to his wife Mary Tait and their three young children. He enjoys the outdoors and will be either in the woods during hunting season or on the river in the summer. Besides being outdoors, he is an active practitioner of Muay Thai and a former powerlifter. Dr. Seely and his family attend Fellowship Bible Church in Jackson.
