Kyle Stephens, DO, is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery. He currently sees patients at the West Tennessee Bone & Joint Institute locations in Paris and Huntingdon, Tennessee.

Beginning at age 16, Dr. Stephens went on mission trips to Honduras, Romania, Mexico, Brazil, Kenya, and Peru. His commitment to missions and medicine was a natural outgrowth of his love of ministry and science. He says, “I am blessed to continue my passion of ministry and orthopedics as a volunteer at Siloam Health Clinic in Nashville, which serves immigrants, refugees, and the poor of Middle Tennessee, most of whom are non-English speakers. I have been volunteering monthly for almost a year and a half at this point doing a free clinic.”

A standout basketball player at Henry County High School, he received a full scholarship from Lipscomb University, where he majored in biology and Biblical studies with a minor in chemistry. He followed that with a Master degree in divinity from Abilene Christian University. Afterward, he earned his medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed his residency at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. Stephens’ clinical specialties include general orthopedic surgery, hip, knee, and shoulder surgery, anterior approach hip replacement, hip arthroscopy, arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, and fracture care, as well as, kyphoplasty. As an orthopedic surgeon, he enjoys helping patients find the real source of symptoms so they can achieve long-term pain relief.

He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery, the Tennessee Medical Association, West Tennessee Physicians’ Alliance, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

Outside of work, Dr. Stephens enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and their children, working on their cattle farm, hunting, and exercising.
